I was speechless when I received a letter just before Christmas 2024. Those of you who know me, will know this is a rather rare condition. The Open University, United Kingdom, is to bestow upon me the Honorary Degree of Master of the University in recognition of my services to the Arts.
You can understand why I was speechless.

Today is the day, 03/03/2025, that Wilkinson Productions (Audio) submit our new writers (see January post) pitches to the commisoning editors at BBC Radio 4.
As the Director of Wilkinson Productions, I counldn't be more proud of my entire team: Richard, Creative Director, Emily, Producer and Writer for Wilkinsoin Productions and all of the professional collegues who have supported us and returned to enhance the pitches. Most of all, the new writers who have worked so very hard to get to this stage of the process.

On Friday 7th February, the Wilkinson Productions Audio team, Andy, Emily and Richard, will be attending BBC HQ to hear all about the latest news from the commissioning editors.
Andy was interviewed recently about the release last week of his first novel - Trinity Sol 3 - for Talk Radio Europe's book show. This will be broadcast soon and we will post a link so you can have a listen.

June seems an awfully long time ago now. The holidays are over and the schools are back.
Nevertheless, we at Wilkinson Productions have kept our shoulders to the wheel of creativity and we can announce that the next BBC drama, for which we hope will get the green light for, has just been submitted to the commissioners of BBC Radio 4.
Door to Perception.
This is a glorious love story about the poet and artist WILLIAM BLAKE (1757-1827)
and his wife CATHERINE.
To mark the 200 th anniversary of the death of William Blake.
I will of course keep you updated on our progress with the commissioners.
